Deuteronomy 24:6

No man shall take the mill or the upper millstone to pledge; for he taketh a man’s life to pledge.

לא יחבל. אִם בָּא לְמַשְׁכְּנוֹ עַל חוֹבוֹ בְּבֵית דִּין, לֹא יְמַשְׁכְּנֶנּוּ בִּדְבָרִים שֶׁעוֹשִׂים בָּהֶן אֹכֶל נֶפֶשׁ (ב"מ קי"ג):
רחים. הִיא הַתַּחְתּוֹנָה:
ורכב. הִיא הָעֶלְיוֹנָה:
לא יחבל NO MAN SHALL TAKE [THE LOWER OR THE UPPER MILLSTONE] AS PLEDGE — i.e. if one comes to demand a pledge through the court for his debt he should not take as a pledge anything by which food is prepared (Bava Metzia 113b, 115a). רחים is the lower, ורכב is the upper millstone.
