उत्पत्ति 4:2
JPS-1917וַתֹּ֣סֶף לָלֶ֔דֶת אֶת־אָחִ֖יו אֶת־הָ֑בֶל וַֽיְהִי־הֶ֙בֶל֙ רֹ֣עֵה צֹ֔אן וְקַ֕יִן הָיָ֖ה עֹבֵ֥ד אֲדָמָֽה׃
And again she bore his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

— उत्पत्ति 4:2
רעה צאן. לְפִי שֶׁנִּתְקַלְּלָה הָאֲדָמָה פֵּרֵשׁ לוֹ מֵעֲבוֹדָתָהּ:
רעה צאן A FEEDER OF FLOCKS — Because the earth had been cursed he refrained from cultivating it.
