JPS-1917אִ֛ישׁ אֲשֶׁר־יַעֲשֶׂ֥ה כָמ֖וֹהָ לְהָרִ֣יחַ בָּ֑הּ וְנִכְרַ֖ת מֵעַמָּֽיו׃ {ס}
Whosoever shall make like unto that, to smell thereof, he shall be cut off from his people.’

להריח בה. אֲבָל עוֹשֶׂה אַתָּה בְּמַתְכֻּנְתָּהּ מִשֶּׁלְּךָ, כְּדֵי לְמָכְרָהּ לַצִּבּוּר (כריתות ה'):
להריח בה [WHOSOEVER SHALL MAKE LIKE UNTO THAT] TO SMELL THERETO [SHALL BE CUT OFF] — but you may make some according to these quantities of your own spices for the purpose of selling it to the community (cf. Keritot 5a).
