Emor covers Leviticus 21:1–24:23, addressing the special rules of ritual purity required of priests, the physical qualifications for priestly service, and the proper conditions for Temple offerings. It also contains the annual cycle of Jewish festivals—Shabbat, Passover, Shavuot, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot.
