Divrei HaYamim (Chronicles) is the final book of the Hebrew Bible in the Tanakh's arrangement, offering a priestly retelling of Israelite history from Adam to Cyrus's decree permitting the return from Babylon. With its emphasis on worship, the Levites, and David's Temple preparations, it provided a hopeful conclusion to the Hebrew canon.
