Talmud

The central text of Rabbinic Judaism, comprising the Mishnah (oral law codified c. 200 CE) and the Gemara (rabbinic analysis and commentary). The Babylonian Talmud (Talmud Bavli) is the more widely studied of the two versions, containing 63 tractates.
