Parascha Behar בהר
Behar covers Leviticus 25:1–26:2, presenting the laws of the Shemitah (sabbatical year) in which the land lies fallow every seventh year, and the Yovel (Jubilee) year every fiftieth year when all land returns to its original owners and Hebrew slaves are freed. These laws embody a radical vision of social and economic justice rooted in divine ownership of the land.
