Leviticus 25:53
JPS-1917כִּשְׂכִ֥יר שָׁנָ֛ה בְּשָׁנָ֖ה יִהְיֶ֣ה עִמּ֑וֹ לֹֽא־יִרְדֶּ֥נּֽוּ בְּפֶ֖רֶךְ לְעֵינֶֽיךָ׃
As a servant hired year by year shall he be with him; he shall not rule with rigour over him in thy sight.

לא ירדנו בפרך לעיניך. כְּלוֹמַר וְאַתָּה רוֹאֶה (ספרא):
לא ירדנו בפרך לעיניך HE SHALL NOT RULE WITH RIGOUR OVER HIM IN THY EYES — that is to say, you looking on unconcernedly (Sifra, Behar, Chapter 8 9; cf. Targum Jonathan on).
